Oktyabrsky

"Oktyabrsky" - the largest mine of "MMC "Norilsk Nickel". Start-up of mine in operation was carried out by nine stages. The first stage is accepted in operation March, 31, 1974, last - December, 31, 1985.
Since 1987 the mine works on design volumes of extraction of ore. To compensate for the loss of the capacities, the construction of new shafts is carried out.

Work of mine is provided with 11 shafts in 6-8 meters in diameter. Depth of mountain works reaches up to 1100 meters, depth of shafts - 1206 meters. Geological stocks of rich ores provide activity of mine at prospective volume of extraction more than 20 years, cupurous ore - on the much greater term.
