Plant "Nadezhda"
The youngest metallurgical enterprise of " Norilsk Nickel”. 22 thousand people took part in the construction of " Nadezhda". Finnish firms "Outokumpu","Rauma-Repola"," Alstrem" carried out installation supervision of the equipment..The plant has two units - hydrometallurgical and pyrrometallurgical. Hydrometallurgical unit is intended for processing of pyrrotin concentrate, earlier stored in dumps. The unit was put into operation in Octyabrsky, 1979. Pyrrometallurgical unit processes nickel and copper concentrates of Talnakh concentrating mill, sulphide concentrate of hydrometallurgical origin and copper concentrate of Nickel plant. This unit was put into operation in July, 1981.Producing departments of the plant are:
Finished products are: converter matte, copper anodes and elemental sulfur. Converter matte is directed to plant "Nikelevy" and “Severonickel” combine, and anodic copper – to plant "Medny" for further processing. |
